5 Things We Want In Hitman 6 [E3 2015]

The latest trailer of Hitman 6 was announced a week ago. As the most up to date game in the Hitman series, Hitman 6 had made quite a stir in E3 2015, let's hope it will live up to our expectations.

From Codename 47 to Absolution, the developers tweaked the content of their games a lot throughout the series. Although Absolution has great graphics during the time it was published and the overall gameplay is stunning, there are some features that we want in the latest Hitman release.

1. Jump / Parkour

Anyone who played Hitman Absolution should get frustrated of the inability to jump. How come a fearsome hitman that killed thousands of people to protect a girl can't JUMP. That sounds stupid in a game costing millions to create. If the jumping option is back in Hitman 6 (it should), I think adding a little bit of parkour will definitely improves the game. It's an optional feature but it's always nice to have parkour.

2. Teammates

Handling contracts alone looks cool, but having backups in assassinations gives you a lot more options to execute the hit. Assassin Creed Unity had done a decent job on co-op gameplay. AI teammates are good enough already, they can serve tons of purposes, like sniping enemies, distracting guards, setting up explosives or go gun blazing with you. The possibilities are limitless, and working in a team is a brand new idea in the world of Hitman. The 'multiplayer' mode before is only sharing of missions among players, playing with friends at the same time in the same map is the true multiplayer mode.

3. Newspapers

This is a far more interesting way to summarize the player's performance in a mission rather than using scores, and this is implemented in other games of Hitman series before, so it's a good idea to let newspapers return in Hitman 6.

Also, the developers can further improve this feature by adding after-mission effects. For example, if you take out targets in a high profile manner, the security force in the next contract will become much more alert, and they may equip deadlier weapons. Using this system to motivate players finishing their mission in a subtle way is more realistic than using scores. At the same time, this gives player the ability to affect the in-game world through their actions, which helps to create a more dynamic game universe.

4. Substitute score with budget

Hitman in game scoreboard  Speaking for myself, nothing in the series can be more boring than the score feature in Hitman Absolution. Scoreboard is a lazy way to encourage players doing what the developers want them to do. Budget is a better alternative of scoreboard. Players can earn budget throughout the mission, which can be used to purchase items for the Agency, such as weaponry, AI teammates or informants. Budget can prompt players to finish contracts in a perfect way. Also the diversity in a mission will become better, as the game offers more choices to complete a mission.

5. Hunting the hunters

Instead of being the only assassin in mission every single time, Hitman 6 can allow players infiltrating into other's mission, so as to protect the target. That will be an amazing element in the game, as players need to hurry on finishing their objectives and leave the area ASAP before the third party interfere, which leaves them less time for planning and more time for action. To balance off this feature, the game should allow players to disable infiltration at the cost of getting less budget. All of these are recommendations only, nevertheless, I really hope they can come true in the final version of Hitman 6.

My suggestions list ends here. Is there any new features that you want in Hitman 6 doesn't appear in this list? Give me a shout if you have more recommendations!
